New Books: "Wańkowicz Recalled" and "An Ocean of Tenderness"

"Melchior Wańkowicz Recalled" is another book by the author about this writer published in 2024, when he became the "Patron of the Year". The author presents his life from the perspective of years, calling him "the Polish Hemingway". Another new book by the author, "An Ocean of Tenderness" brings closer the personal (not private) threads of the writer. The author shows how decisions made without much thinking changed her life.

Dr. Aleksandra Ziółkowska–Boehm holds a PhD in humanities from the University of Warsaw, and is a recipient of multiple scholarships including the Fulbright Foundation, the Ministry of Culture of the government of the province of Ontario and the Delaware Division of the Arts. Author of books published in Poland and the United States, including: Canada, Canada, Americans by choice, Roots are Polish, Kaja from Radosław, a history of the Hubal Cross, A better day has not come already, A manor in Kraśnica and the Hubal Demon, A Turtle Stream street, America’s open wound, Ingrid Bergman privately, Travels with my cat, Writer’s delicacies. She is also author of books about Melchior Wańkowicz: Close to Wańkowicz, Tracking Wańkowicz after years, The 1964 trial of Melchior Wańkowicz, Around Wańkowicz. She is the editor of the series and the author of the afterword to each of the 16 volumes of the series Literary works: Melchior Wańkowicz (published 2009-2012). The America’s open wound will soon be published in Portuguese in Brazil. The writer has lived in the United States since 1990.
