Krzysztof Kamil Baczyński: Word and Deed
This lecture is a tribute to the legendary poet, compared by literature experts with Juliusz Słowacki. A poet who also wanted to be a soldier during the German occupation, because he believed that his poems calling for rebellion against the evil of war should be accompanied by a fight with a rifle in hand. He died at the post on the fourth day of the Warsaw Uprising, hit in the head by a bullet fired by a German sniper. He was only 23 years old. He left behind 500 poems, many of which found their place among the most outstanding lyricists in the history of Polish literature.
